The location here is fantastic, and the staff are delightful, plus the rooms are charming and cozy with complimentary tea and coffee.

Beautiful area with an air of luxury.We felt priviledged visiting a delightful timeless chateau with its air of peace, yet discreet modern facilities. Breakfast was the best we have ever had in France with an international palette catered for.

The creaky doors were very annoying as there were two doors between the bathroom and bedroom. Light sleepers beware! Please oil the hinges. We booked a double bed which was actually two pushed close together and seemed unable to stay that way.

The Chateau De La Coutanciere is a stunningly beautiful place. They offer a great breakfast with a wide array of options. - the location in the large English garden is magnificent. - It is easy to get around the property. - the lush grounds and the Castle are within a short walk.

On arriving at this Chateau we weren't sure what to expect - other reviewers described it as 'tired' but in fact it is lovely - perhaps more 'shabby chic'. Our room was enormous, with a lovely shower and very comfy bed: the only criticism being that there were only 3 sockets, already taken up with bedside lamps and the mini bar. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast more than adequate. There is a small heated pool and spacious grounds to walk in. But the icing on the cake was the service, which was first class.

As mentioned above, only three sockets in the room, and now we all have so much electrical paraphernalia which has to be charged!

We found the accommodation very comfortable. We had a wonderful meal in the restaurant on the evening. We were the only 2 eating and they still cooked for us - it was lovely - very romantic. Very nice chateau - would recommend it to anyone.

The staff was very nice from the moment we arrived. the property was close to the grounds and Pays de la Loire.

The place is absolutely charming and incredibly beautiful, we didn't want to leave!

The hotel is clean, with supper friendly personal, and offers marvellous and fantastic location right by excellent restaurants, and the valley of Loire. The rooms here are elegant and luxurious with tea and coffee

We had a relaxing stay for one night at Chateau De La Coutanciere in Brain-sur-Allonnes. the weather was wonderful during our visit. the location of the chateau is lovely and beautiful, situated in the picturesque Loire Valley in France. It is located in a fairly quiet area.

Beautiful Chateau, as well as outside as inside. Also diner is very worth while.

Impressive setting in beautiful grounds. A family-run hotel with excellent, attentive, service. The food was particularly good, of gourmet standard yet reasonably priced. The Surprise Menu with additional choice of local wines is recommended. Although a little pricey, the breakfast offered a good range of food

Nothing really, though room was a little creaky with a noisy floor as one would expect in a chateau. The lack of a television may bother some.

The room here is spacious, bright, and offers a beautiful view of the park with a stylish design and a very comfortable bed.

Everything was perfect

A stunning venue, and excellent value for money! Huge room (four roomed suite, actually, although listed as a room). Extremely professional and friendly staff (this is a apprenticeship site for the hospitality school/industry). Best value breakfast in the Loire, served in a spectacular chateau dining room. Huge grounds and forest - watch out for the gigantic ducks. The management is Dutch, and can help you in French, English, Dutch, and even Afrikaans! It is hard to believe that this is what you get at the price - we stayed at other boutique hotels/chateau in the loire for three times the price and didnt have half the space, atmosphere or courtesy. Wish I could go back - if we knew about it, we would have made this our base for the entire week.

A little out of the way - you need a car, and dinner options are limited (they do serve an excellent intimate dinner on site, but the kitchen may close early). They are happy to accommodate you though!
